The Lux series from Maastricht Porselein is sturdy yet lightweight dinnerware. Lux is perfect for many different uses. Each item is easy to combine, pleasant to handle and of solid quality. Porcelain
Porcelain is a mixture of feldspar, kaolin and quartz. These minerals are mixed and pulverized in a certain proportion. Then this mixture is mixed with water and formed into a product using a mold. This raw product (called cookie) is usually first baked at about 1100℃. Then the product is glazed and fired again at a very high temperature somewhere between 1250 and 1380℃.
